Telus, one of the upstream service providers of fibre for CCI, experienced a fibre-related outage that affected all CCI Wireless internet and phone customers for half a day.
This issue was tentatively resolved permanently around noon on August 23, after all services went offline for about ten minutes. Telus found the problem in their network core and moved quickly to restore your internet. We continue to monitor this with the help of Telus, but we don’t anticipate customers with intermittent service due to this specific issue.
Telus is experiencing an issue with fibre, affecting CCI. As of 11 pm on August 22, CCI customers may experience intermittent service and generally slower internet. Telus crews worked hard through the night to resolve the problem. We expect a fix on August 23 and thank every customer for their patience.
