Technical Support Agent - Tier 1

Technical Support Agents

Title: Tech Support Agent – Tier 1
Status: Part-time and full-time
Start Date: Variable
Location: Calgary

Position Summary:

CCI Wireless is always looking for talented individuals to join our team Technical Support team. Our Calgary office is home to a full call centre supporting our customers across Alberta.

The successful candidate will be accountable for answering calls from our existing customers. Shifts will vary between 5-8 hours for a minimum of 20 hours/week to Maximum of 40 hours/week. You must be available from 7 am to midnight, Monday to Friday, and 8 am to 5 pm on weekends, for various shifts, most importantly evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. Bilingualism is an asset. CCI will provide full training on our services.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and Technical Support to customers – the customer experience comes first!
  • Providing knowledgeable troubleshooting guidance to customers, specifically concerning internet and VOIP issues
  • Appropriately documenting customer interactions and troubleshooting steps taken in ticketing system and escalating service accordingly
  • Performing tests of returned equipment to ensure quality of our units is maintained
  • Follow up with customers when appropriate, specifically on emails sent and voicemails left for customers
  • Provide feedback to leadership team and peers to improve environment
  • Make recommendations to the Manager regarding training and improvement in Technical Support levels
  • Various other duties as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

  • You must have a High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of WIMAX and LTE technology is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with changes and adaptability to changes within call center environment
  • Background in technical troubleshooting of internet service is a strong asset
  • Experience in the telecommunication industry, computer systems, networking, browsers and troubleshooting VOIP and internet service would be considered an asset
  • Completion of CCNA, CompTIA A+ will be considered a strong asset
  • Ability to achieve targets on a consistent basis
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a team atmosphere that promotes individual and team success
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written, to care for customers’ needs and to work effectively in a team

Customer Care Agents - Support and Sales

Customer Care Representative at CCI Wireless

Title: Customer Care Representative
Status: Full-time
Start Date: Ongoing
Location: Calgary

Position Summary:
We have openings on our Customer Care team for individuals experienced in customer service. Our Calgary office is home to a full call centre supporting over 20,000 homes and businesses across Alberta.

The successful candidate will be accountable for managing accounts for customers who call in as well as new customers. CCI will provide full training for our systems and services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls to the sales team
  • Determine if services are available in callerʼs area
  • Discuss and promote our Internet and voice services
  • Answer questions on features and benefits of our services compared to competition
  • Close sales, set-up customer accounts, and book installations
  • Answer Customer Care questions
    • Resolve issues
    • Retain customers
  • Make outbound sales calls to potential customers in our coverage area
  • Close sales, set-up customer accounts, book installations
  • Additional related duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on a timely basis
  • Strong sense of ownership required for project completion
  • Excellent communications skills required for understanding and communicating the clients’ needs
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team of multi-discipline professionals
  • Team-based environment, fast-paced organization
